Great Metal bar, Service impeccable, reasonably priced, plays requests...thank you for ALL the Blaze Bayley. Cannot wait to go back to Amsterdam just to visit The Cave again.

My favorite pub in a...
My favorite pub in all of Amsterdam. Amazing service in a cozy atmosphere. Really one of the best reasons to visit Holland is this gem. Live music on special nights, good rock and metal selections for songs. Cool look to the place and some of the nicest staff. The owners are really down to earth people. Really made us feel welcome in Holland and also like we were welcome at their pub. Definitely go to the Cave!

Rock bars are sadly...
Rock bars are sadly in decline but The Cave is still keeping it alive! A great place that has busy and had friendly service. We watched live music there as well (note there may be a charge to enter on such nights). A great music selection for spanning from classic heavy metal to nu metal. Will definitely go back the next time I'm in amsterdam!

One of the best places in Amsterdam for music and atmosphere! Incredible selection of metal, gothic vibes that will rock your cold black heart. Good selection of drinks and whiskeys, live music is frequent and the owner/staff are very nice and helpful

It's the only metal pub in Amsterdam. It's well established and fun enough on week-ends when bands are playing

Cool rock bar with g...
Cool rock bar with good music and friendly atmosphere. They have happy hour offers, and live music, although we couldn't enjoy the live music I think the artist/s didn't show up as there was something scheduled when we visited and no one played. Still had fun and would come back if I'm back in Amsterdam

We visited The Cave...
We visited The Cave for the two nights we spent in Amsterdam, this place is the real rock/metal bar where you can hang out and meet people. The service was excellent and the prices very fair, the owner is always there playing the best music. The will always be on my list when in Amsterdam.

*food not applicable but have 5 stars so I don’t hurt their reviews! What a lovely place. Staff are friendly, drinks are cheaper than most other places and only €5 entry, pretty cool bands & music.They even have free tampons in the women’s toilets which is so lovely! Great place, 10/10 recommend

It was a relatively quiet night when we visited (a Thursday) but it was a relaxed and cool atmosphere nonetheless with good music being played. It would be nice to return on a live music night. The Barman was friendly and I'm sure it's more lively there at the weekend.

The best place in to...
The best place in town. You're never alone there, always great people to talk to on the bar. The staff is absolutely wonderful and if you love metal music, you'll never want to go anywhere else. 🤘🏻

Good rock bar with a...
Good rock bar with a friendly crowd. We went on a Saturday night for a few hours up until about half past midnight and it was busy but not full. There wasn't live music but the soundtrack was lots of good metal classics. We'd been to Excalibur previously but much preferred the atmosphere and crowd here - not being right in the centre of the Red Light District helps! Standard prices of around €4-8 for medium/large Heineken.

I absolutely loved t...
I absolutely loved this place. The owner is kind and friendly. (Thanks for the stickers!) He also chose good songs: we heard all kinds of music from across the rock/metal spectrum (big and small bands). Maybe there could be a greater draught beer selection. But I'm being picky: we went 3 times during our short trip, which says it all. If I'm back in Amsterdam, I'll be returning as soon as I can. Rock on.

Enjoy a relaxed atmo...
Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, good conversation and a friendly bartender. And not to forget, good music! All kinds of metal are played here all the time. No watered down bs to get more patrons in. Sometimes there are bands playing too.

This bar is so cool! So much to look at, great drinks, better music. Great Place to spend hours at with good friends.

Hands down the best...
Hands down the best rock club I've been! The bar staff were so welcoming going the extra mile for there customers, very sad to be leaving this place after an epic weekend! If your in the Dam and love rock music it's the place to be!
