Found glass or plast...

Found glass or plastic in mashed potatoes. We came here on our last day of a family holiday booked 2 tables as there is 9 of us including kids. Food tasted great and all enjoyed it except one person. My wife offered me to try hers as it tasted nice and when I took a taste of her potatoes I felt a crunch. Picked it out and it was like a chunk of glass or plastic in it. She didn’t eat anymore of hers. The waitress came at the end and took our plates away and I discreetly told her about this. She took it away and said no more on it. Once I went to bar to pay I asked if she gave it to the chef and found out what it was which she replied yes I’ve given it to him. No apology or nothing. Such a shame as up until that point we did all enjoy it

Food review only. Dated and poor value for money. Hubbys burger was ok, but my battered chicken was really not great. The couple sat next to us were also unhappy. Hubby knows when I’m not happy because when I’m asked if it’s good I say thanks but not yes.

Proper good Boozer....

Proper good Boozer. 1 Cask Ale pump. Plenty of lager & cider taps. Around 9 TV sports screens. Liked it.

Food was a 10 out of 10. Probably the best macaroni cheese I've ever eaten! Staff lovely and friendly. Cosy wee place.

Not the place it use...

Not the place it used to be. Food mediocre (overcooked goldfish and chips). Sullen jobsworth couldn’t crack a smile if he tried. Been here lots of times. Won’t be back.

Delicious lunch here today. Both the steak pie & chicken & leek pie were fantastic. Highly recommended.

Excellent small hote...

Excellent small hotel. My room was a good size and very clean, Had a good meal In the evening and a full Scottish breakfast in the morning.

Good traditional pub...

Good traditional pub/restaurant, with excellent local food and service. We tried the haggis, neeps & tatties with whisky gravy starter. It was fantastic! As was the venison pie and chunky kit Kat cheesecake! We definitely highly recommend this restaurant.

Narrowest Hotel in t...

Narrowest Hotel in the world apparently. Hidden gem is the sports bar down to the right side lane. Great for sports and has multiple screens.
